The Awesome Running Playlist – Track 23

Track 23 – Prayer – Prospa (2018)

Note – Sorry I have been missing in action over the last few weeks. The got married recently and was away for 2 weeks doing that and have been struggling with re-entry to normal life and work.

I do have a number of posts in the works – one about habits, a Nike Epic React shoe review, why I love sport and why kids should play more of it. If there are any regular readers out there, please let me know by leaving a comment.

This one is right in my wheelhouse and bang up to date. It’s as if someone took all my favourite elements of a dance tune and put them together. 80s synth, soulful vocals, drum crescendos, filters, breakdowns and a car door shaking bass line.

Prospa are two 20-year-old guys from Leeds who have been producing tunes since 2013. I caught this Annie Mac’s Dance Party (when I get in the house first and I’m allow to listen to bleepy dance music) and it grabbed me instantly. It feels so urgently and just makes me want to get up and move, which is what you want in a running tune. So something a bit more up to date this week, but so good we can sack off this list and just put this on repeat!
