ALL OF THE LIGHTS – KANYE WEST (2010)

I’ve nearly put this on the list many times and decided against it.

It’s an odd one. I love Kanye’s first album, The College Dropout and his output and the way he moves between genres is phenomenal. His antics over the last 10 years or so have made me not really like him. But really like it this tune.

Maybe it’s just the horns, or the beats and Rihanna who is always an absolute star.

Featuring additional vocals from several other recording artists, including John Legend, The-Dream, Elly Jackson, Alicia Keys, Fergie, Kid Cudi, Elton John, Drake, and Rihanna the track has that urgency that I like, but can’t put my finger on.

A great running tune with it Rocky-esque horns that will have you “trying hard now”.
