The Awesome Running Playlist – Track 11

Track 11 – Sun is Shining – Bob Marley vs. Funkstar De Luxe (1999)

The balmy summer continues here in the UK, so the tunes are staying hot.

Sun is shining. The weather is sweet, yeah. Make you want to move, your dancin’ feet

Could this be the ultimate summer tune?

Standing at a beach bar with a cocktail in your hand and this tune drops, the least you do is start tapping your foot. The most likely action is, you neck the cocktail and make a Beeline for the podium.

The track is a remix of the lesser known Bob Marley song that appeared on a number of his albums from the 1970s. The Danish house producer was the first to receive clearance from the Marley estate to release official remixes of the late singer’s music.

The rolling beats, breaks, handclaps and Marley’s silky relaxed vocals will keep you cruising along.

The song just puts a smile on your face and makes you feel fantastic and forget how much you hate (but really love) running.

Enjoy the summer. Remember to use high factor suncream. To hydrate and rehydrate and run in the early morning to avoid the heat.
