Robyn  – Dancing On My Own (2010)

One for the current Coronavirus lockdown! A melancholic song that you can also have a really good boogie to. You’re not going anywhere anyway, so spin around your room to the sound of the mighty Robyn.

A teen star in her native Sweden and later hit the top of the UK charts with With Every Heartbeat in 2007. She hit her stride and with the Body Talk trilogy of albums in 2010, from which Dancing On My Own is taken from. She has since influenced pop music for the last decade.

The machine gun synths and a killer kick drum will get you moving and Robyn’s lyrics and vocals will as ever move you, but in a different way.

Her recent album, Honey is also excellent.
